Hello all, I’m roxyrohit and I suppose I’m just a nerd who enjoys tinkering with things. It all started with learning HTML (who could have thought that a markup language could bury me so deep ) and I have continued from there learning everything that I can about computers. I suppose my love affair with open source started in 8th grade when I heard about Linux on The Screensavers an interesting little technology show on TechTV. Then about two years ago I decided to go for using Linux and first used Ubuntu 5.04, and thus my journey began. Now on my laptop I’m running a nice upgraded version of Ubuntu 7.04 and my desktop has Suse 10.2 on it (by the way, KDE is where it’s at ). I enjoy being able to try out cool new things, like KDE4 and rockbox on my iRiver H320. Linux has allowed me the freedom to understand computers better and to experiment and change things, I greatly enjoy the freedom that open source software has given me. I’ve never worked on Drupal but somehow magically stumbled upon it when I heard that the Summer of Code was getting going. So far it’s been really awesome working with Drupal people and I even managed to e-mail Dries without knowing that he was the project lead .

I’m currently wasting time studying abroad at the Ollscoil na héireann, Gaillimh (National University of Ireland, Galway) and enjoying learning about embedded systems and drinking (Guinness is beautiful ). Studying and living in a different country has been an interesting experience and it really couldn’t be traded for anything. Before that, I was going to the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology but I decided to transfer to the University of Minnesota. I decided in going to college that I was going to learn everything I could about computers so I decided to major in computer science and computer engineering.

I have a bunch of strange diverse interests. I enjoy watching anime, even though plenty of people think that it’s for kids, it’s really philosophical and interesting (Cowboy Bebop is awesome ). I also enjoy the martial arts, lately it has been Muay Thai boxing, I guess part of me enjoys pain. I also love video games and have been playing them since I was young. I started with games like Red Alert, Total Annihilation, Diablo and Team Fortress. I have since progressed to UT2K4 and Day of Defeat and would be happy to take you bastards on (I suppose I’m a first person shooter guru). I also enjoy going to restaurants at 2 in the morning and hanging out with my friends (most of whom are just as crazy as I am). Maybe more than anything I just enjoy sitting by a river a listening to the water flow by as I lose myself in the sounds around me.

I also enjoy a strange mix of music. Lately it has been Scandinavian death metal (Children of Bodom) mixed with video game music and underground rap.

My screen name comes from the awesome movie Citizen Kane. It’s unfortunately more common than I would like so I’ve had a number of other screen names, I suppose the one I use for gaming is “Death to the Infidels”.

Software Testing and its Business value have been perplexed and debated for a number of years. Some firms have found that large productivity improvements attributable to Software Testing, as well as evidence that Software Testing has generated substantial benefits for consumers. However, others continue to question whether Software Testing have had any bottom line impact on business performance. They consider testing as something that can be sacrificed, if necessary, for more functionality, faster development, or lower costs. However, in practice, software development organizations that have a firm commitment to quality can actually speed development, reduce costs, and add new features with greater ease. Industry findings indicate that testing have led to higher productivity and created substantial value for consumers.

No longer content to have relationship and bladder problems at home, The Sims are now set to take their issues around the world. EA’s The Sims Studio has announced that The Sims 3 World Adventures, has gone gold for the PC and Mac and will be available on November 17, 2009. The Sims 3 World Adventures is the first expansion pack to the #1 best-selling PC game of calendar 2009, according to NPD data.If so, we’ll get photographic evidence, as Sims can now take advantage of the brand new photography skill. They can then bring their treasures home to reminisce and share with other fake people. Players who register their copy of the PC/Mac version of the game online will receive exclusive extra game content with the Explorer’s Loot Set and 1,000 SimPoints to be used in The Sims 3 Store to customize their game with additional in-game items.

And what would an exotic vacation be without the Simlish musical stylings of Nelly Furtado and LeAnn Rimes? Why, it would be an epic fail, I tell you, so The Sims 3 World Adventures Expansion Pack has you covered there. It also features Matt + Kim, Fefe Dobson, Pixie Lott, Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head, Katie Melua, Esmee Denters, Young Punx!, Evan Taubenfeld, Madina Lake, and more. And I’m sure if you look hard enough, you can probably make your Sim characters look like Natalie Portman’s shaved head.
