2008 Homecoming & Reunions
Everything you need to know about this year’s events!
2008 marks the 10th year reunion for the Class of 1998, as well as the 5th year reunion for the Class of 2003 and the 15th year reunion for the Class of 1993! The C/O ‘98 Reunion Committee is working hard to make this event fun and exciting for all attendees. Everyone from all TAMS classes is welcome to attend, but note that the slideshow, survey, and many of the inside jokes will only be for the Class of ‘98. =) Continue reading below to find out everything you need to know about this year’s bash!

Other Happenings
That same weekend, there are a bunch of other things going on in and around Dallas. Here’s a short list:
- UNT Homecoming Weekend - As is customary, the weekend coincides with UNT’s campus-wide homecoming celebration. Interested in watching the bonfire, listening to Brave Combo, or being in the parade? Check the official UNT Homecoming website for more details.
- Walk & Wag 5k/10k - Also going on the same morning as the UNT RecSports Fun Run, but this is at White Rock Lake.
Where to Stay
The likely place to stay is at the new Comfort Inn in Denton, at which we’ve reserved a block of rooms. A couple area hotels are pointed out in the map below, complete with rates and contact information. Check below for all the available options:
- Comfort Inn - Block of rooms reserved at the group rate of $85/night. To get this rate, you must call the hotel directly at 940.320.5150 and give them the group code “TAMS” (clever, right? =)
- The Holiday Inn & Suites - Individual rooms available, call the hotel directly for details.
- Hampton Inn - Individual rooms available, call the hotel directly for details.
- DFW Metroplex Alumni - Need a couch to stay on? Have a couch to offer? Leave your contact info on this forum thread as Alex Paiuk (c/o ‘98) is working to coordinate this.

This map can also be used to calculate directions between two points (especially for those of us who don’t remember where “Avenue C” or “Fry Street” are any more :p ). How to Get In
TICKETS: Admission to the Saturday events (UNT fun run, picnic, and dinner) will be sold as a “ticket”. Dinner at Bruce ($6.50/person) on Friday, any non-UNT fun runs, and any brunches that are organized for Sunday are not included in the price of the ticket. The ticket prices are as follows:

Please print out and complete this registration form and include this with your check! Checks should be made out to Kindel Elam, with “Class of 1998” and the number of tickets written in the memo line, with both check and form mailed to:

What We Need From You
PHOTOS: Start hunting through your old TAMS photos and scan the best/funniest/most-incriminating. Email them to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) in the highest resolution possible so that we can put them together in a slide show. You can also send current pics of your kids, family, or any events that you’ve attended recently with fellow TAMSters. (Ski trips, weddings, birthday parties, etc…) We’ll play the slide show during dinner, and then make it available on the website for further viewing. Even if you aren’t able to attend the reunion events, please send photos anyway. We’d love to see how handsome/gorgeous you still are!!!
TAMS Class of 1998 Reunion Survey : Members of the Class of 1998 are encouraged to fill out this reunion survey so we can learn more about what people have been up to! Results will be shared at the dinner on Saturday night. The survey will be open until 11:59pm on Tuesday, October 21st so get your responses in soon!
Most importantly… Set .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) as “safe” in your inbox, and check http://www.TAMSalumni.org often for new information about other events that people you know may be planning. We will be using the TAMS Alumni Association site as our official “Class of 1998 Reunion” website beginning next week. There you’ll find a current itinerary, maps to event locations, surveys, contact information for the reunion planning members, and a place to arrange lodging with a fellow TAMS alum if you so choose. You’ll need to be a member of the site and update your profile in order to receive all the info we’ll be sending out in the next few weeks.
